What Is the LiveO2 Extreme Adaptive Contrast EWOT System?
The LiveO2 Extreme is a single-user Adaptive Contrast Exercise with Oxygen Therapy (EWOT) system designed for structured oxygen training at home, in athletic and performance environments, and in clinics or wellness settings. It combines exercise-based oxygen training with alternating oxygen-rich and simulated-altitude breathing phases and adjustable simulated altitude from approximately 10,000 to 22,000 feet.
The Extreme is designed for one training station and is available in either a 10 LPM or 20 LPM air-supply configuration. Both configurations provide the same adjustable-altitude range and Adaptive Contrast capability, while the 20 LPM option provides greater replenishment capacity and faster initial reservoir filling.
Because the system alternates between oxygen-rich and oxygen-reduced breathing conditions, the LiveO2 Extreme is often compared with intermittent hypoxic-hyperoxic training (IHHT), hypoxic hyperoxic training, and other forms of oxygen contrast training. Clinics and wellness providers can also adjust the simulated-altitude setting between appointments to accommodate different training protocols and user needs without requiring multiple system types.

The optional 20 LPM configuration uses two 10 LPM air separators and reduces the approximate initial fill time from empty to 28 minutes. LiveO2 recommends this configuration for demanding home athletes and other users who want greater replenishment capacity, as well as clinics planning more closely spaced single-user sessions.
The 20 LPM configuration does not increase oxygen concentration, change the simulated-altitude range, or create a second training station. Both configurations remain single-user systems with the same adjustable Adaptive Contrast capability.
The reservoir continues refilling while the system operates, including during use. Initial filling from empty should therefore be distinguished from preparing an already-filled, operating system for a subsequent session.

The LiveO2 Extreme includes owner access to the LiveO2 Training App along with New User Coaching to help customers become familiar with system setup, session structure, Adaptive Contrast switching, and available training protocols.
The LiveO2 Training App provides guided sessions, session timers, training history, progress tracking, and access to available training resources. The reservoir uses a thin oxygen-retaining liner to reduce unnecessary plastic exposure, along with a woven nylon protective shell for durability and a low-VOC inner liner. LiveO2 reservoir materials are tested clean below 3 parts per million, and the system uses biologically inert silicone tubing rather than PVC in the breathing pathway.
